 During this course you will gain a broad understanding of the air cargo agency, airline operations and the role of a Freight Forwarder. You will also become familiar with related subjects such as industry terminology and abbreviations, world geography, air cargo acceptance, basic rating principles and the Air Waybill.

After successful completion of the course, you will be able to do the following:

• Offer appropriate and professional advice to clients concerning air freight shipments in accordance with the IATA rules and procedures;
• Make appropriate arrangements and reservations for air cargo shipments in accordance with the IATA rules and procedures;
• Correctly apply published rates and charges for air cargo shipments in accordance with the applicable IATA resolutions;
• Complete air waybills accurately and in accordance with the applicable IATA resolutions;
• Prepare shipments 'ready for carriage' in accordance with the applicable IATA resolutions;
• Understand the e-Freight initiatives and e-AWB process.
